The mix of pattern, color, and texture makes me so happy.  I started with the check print and had an idea to paint light pinky flowers on top, not sure how it would end up looking.  But I love how the structure of the pattern (which was reminding me of an old timey kitchen floor or blacksplash) gives such a fun background to the wild pink of the florals.
